Tri-STAR
May 23 - 26, 2008
TRISTAR is our premier local HSTA event, located in Sparta , NC , just south of Independence , VA, offering senic views and miles and miles of twisty mountain roads. We are excited to be hosting the fifth annual event over Memorial Day Weekend. Volunteers are needed to make the event a success. Email or phone Galen or Flo if you are willing to help out. Our host inn is again the Alleghany Inn, 341 North Main Street , Sparta , NC 28675 ; call 1-888-372-2501 for reservations.
New for 2008: Demo rides!
Demo Rides added this year for Sunday, May 25.
Piedmont Motorsports is
bringing several of their demo bikes to Sparta.
The demo selection may
change but for now the KTM SuperDuke990
and KTM Adventure990 bikes are
expected to be available for demo
rides Sunday, May 25.

Fall Colors Ride
October 3-5, 2008
Great news!
Fall Colors Ride this year will be hosted at the SNOWSHOE MOUNTAIN, in Snowshoe, WV. This is an ideal location for riding the curvy roads of West Virginia; or for visiting the many tourist attractions such as the Cass Railroad, Greenbank-home to the National Radio Observatory, Seneca Rocks and so much more!

There are no registration fees for this event and is open to HSTA members and non-members. NOTE the special room rate at SNOWSHOE MOUNTAIN is for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights-in case some want to extend their weekend stay.
Please also note when making a reservation, that SNOWSHOE MOUNTAIN has a strict cancellation policy.

RATES effective Friday, October 3 through Monday,October 6, 2008 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday night)
The cut-off date for reservations is August 19, 2008, after which rooms will be sold on a space available basis. Below is the room block for Honda Sport Touring Association:
Room Type Package Rate Per Room, Per Night
Inn at Snowshoe Hotel $72.00
This package rate includes breakfast at Brandi's Restaurant at the Inn at Snowshoe for up to (two) guests. The maximum room occupancy for guests on this special package is two (2) per room.
A deposit of one night's room rate is required to secure your rooms. All room rates quoted DO NOT include sales tax (currently 6%) and lodging tax (currently 6%). Taxes are subject to change. Rates for accommodations will vary depending on occupancy and type of accommodations.
Each complex has dedicated parking for lodging guests only. Fees may apply for parking in other areas.
Any other type of accommodation besides what is in your block will vary in cost depending on location and occupancy.
